Research, Education And Transparency

There are a lot of supplements on the market claiming to do all kinds of wonderful things. If you’re not from a scientific background, it’s very difficult to know if those claims are actually plausible, especially when supplements don’t face the same kind of regulation as medical drugs. Ethical companies will still make sure that consumers have the opportunity to understand their products and approach (https://longevity.technology/news/longevity-based-on-research-education-and-transparency/).

NOVOS is one such company. It has spent four years developing and testing its new longevity supplements. Scientists from MIT, Harvard Medical School and the Salk Institute joined together for the beta phase. The formula for their eventual flagship supplement used research from more than 400 studies by other experts. They’re not making this stuff up out of thin air.

That flagship supplement, NOVOS Core, comes in powdered form and can be added to your favorite drinks. It has 12 different ingredients that can work together to tackle the 12 hallmarks of aging. Then there’s the capsule known as NOVOS Boost, which adds the increasingly popular supplement, nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) to the mix.

Before its launch, NOVOS Core went through in vitro studies with human cells as well as in vivo ones with live participants, 73% of whom appeared to see their rate of biological aging slow. As popular measurements of the hallmarks of aging changed from nine to 12 factors, NOVOS adapted accordingly.

Other NOVOS products, like NOVOS Age for epigenetic age testing and NOVOS Face Age Test for AI-driven assessments of your age based on facial markers and skin health, also went through a rigorous research and testing process based on dozens of previous studies. The biological age clock from NOVOS is based on the DunedinPACE Rate of Aging Clock with its proven algorithms.

It’s not about the research, though. It’s also about ensuring members of the public can understand the research, are able to trust the developers, and can make their own informed decisions about supplements. To facilitate this, NOVOS has created various educational resources to teach consumers what to look for and how to be safe when pursuing improved longevity.

This commitment to transparency will not just help consumers now; it will also make it easier to build on and improve research in future to the benefit of the whole longevity industry.
